Basic Rules and Bets in Live Roulette

Just like any other casino entertainment, Live Roulette offers its own rules which are quite simple and easy to understand. The Roulette wheel is divided into 38 sectors numbered from 1 to 36 (marked in black and red), 0 and 00 (marked in green).

At the start of the play, players receive their chips which are usually of multiple colours to avoid confusion during payouts. Once the gaming chips are distributed, players start placing their stakes. In any Roulette, it is possible to bet either on a single number or on several. The dealer spins the wheel and the ball.

Note that bets must be made, changed, or removed not less than three spins before the ball stops. This moment is indicated by the dealer’s call “no more bets.” After the call, the changes are not counted.

Hence, the Roulette table game is quite simple and exciting. And today, this game gets even closer to you, play it with live dealers from your smartphone or computer.

American and European Roulette

The Live Roulette wheel is divided into 37 sectors, numbered from zero (zero) to 36. You can combine any bets, including bets on individual numbers or groups of numbers. All these bets are placed on the so-called “inside” part of the table.

On the “outer” part of the table, you can place bets on different groups of 18 numbers. Here you can bet on the top or bottom half of the numbers, odd or even, red or black.

In addition, bets on 12 numbers (“columns” and “dozens”) and 17 numbers are available in Live Roulette.

Different Live Roulette Games

At first glance, the game of Roulette looks monotonous. But don’t let the first impression deceive you as Roulette has a lot of varieties – French, European, and American, as well as many strategies that make the game process even more exciting.

Immersive Roulette

Back in 2014, Evolution Gaming that is a live casino software provider, brought out its leading-edge live game with a tempting name – Immersive Roulette. Immersive Roulette is a completely revolutionary Evolution product, with several shooting points for gaining a completely new gaming experience.

Now that a real dealer is spinning a roulette wheel, the automatic transition from one camera to another allows players to see and follow each launch and movement of the ball, increasing the emotional intensity from the wait.

And all this is transmitted in HD quality, at a speed of 200 frames per second. Lite version of this roulette, Immersive Lite Roulette is especially attractive for its individual level of customization.

Auto Roulette

Auto Roulette is a variant of European roulette for those high rollers looking for fast-paced action at the wheel. Evolution Gaming, the developer of Auto Roulette, is capable of producing up to 80 games every hour – so you can see things are certainly fast and furious.

There are notable opening hours as this game is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Evolution Gaming are the creators of Auto Roulette and have designed it to look more virtual than real-life – with the screen focusing on the betting table with a small real roulette wheel to the top left of your screen.

Lightning Roulette

Essentially, the game is much the same as standard Roulette and played with the usual Roulette wheel with 37 pockets divided into Green — which is zero — and Red and Black, from one to 36. What makes Lightning Roulette different is — as the name suggests — its speed and unique features like Lucky Numbers.

Lightning Roulette is essentially European Roulette but with the opportunity to win up to 500x on a straight-up number. In this regard, the Lighting Roulette rules are the same.

A straight-up win without the multiplier applied pays 29:1; in normal roulette, you’ll get 35:1.

All other bets on the roulette table pay their regular payout but do qualify for the multiplier win.

Types of Live Roulette Bets

Similar to European Roulette, the American version has 11 types of basic bets. Conversely, the bets can be inside or outside, which also influence the probability of winning. Let’s see all the features of American Roulette betting in more detail below.

If you bet on cells located directly on the playing field, then this wager’s name is Inside. If you wager on specially designated places on the sides, then such a bet is called external. Of course, as in all games, the less likely to win, the lesser the odds, the larger the payout.

Main Strategies to Win American Roulette

The first and most important strategy used in the game of Roulette is to learn how to manage your financial resources. You also need to know about increasing the chances of winning. You can do this by choosing a higher bid.

Martingale Technique

According to the Martingale strategy, a player wagers only on Red or Black. Upon that, after every bet lost, you need to double your stake until you win. After that, a player wagers on the opposite color following the same strategy. If the ball lands on zero, you need to place a double bet on the opposite color to the one you have wagered at the beginning of the game. ShowLion experts recommend beginning with a 1$ bet.

Columns and Dozens

This strategy is also based on Martingale’s method when you have to raise your bets twofold as soon as you lose. Except here, you play with columns and dozens. In Addition to the above, if you place on two columns or 2 dozens, your odds will be 66.6% or 86% when you place on two columns and two dozens at the same time. According to the statistics, bets on dozens are favourite bets in online casinos.

Biarritz Strategy

Essentially, you need to wager the same amount of money on the same number 36 times in a row. If your number wins earlier, you win with 1:36 odd. The earlier your win, the bigger your payout.

Lucky Seven

The method with such an interesting name requires you to win seven times in a row. Despite the apparent simplicity of this tactic, it is quite engaging. So, to try out the Lucky Seven system, you need to have the amount of money that 24 times exceeds the minimum required bet. For instance, if the minimum bet is 5$, then you need to have 120$ on your account. Usually, this strategy applies to wagers on Red/Black, Odd/Even, High/Low.
